AOCI Statement of Faith & Values

We are a global interdenominational ministry designed to meet the needs of both Christian evangelical, Messianic Jewish, and Jewish clergy. For this reason, we all may vary about smaller issues such as the administration of communion; however, below is a summary of beliefs upon which all of our membership agrees.

Our purpose in providing this Statement of Faith is not to advocate doctrinal disputes or divisions, but to hold fast to essential Christian doctrine and to embrace, love and learn from our Jewish brethren and their distinctions as a community of faith. We realize that the body of Christ will always have diversity among theology and convictions until Jesus returns. This was evident by the first-century believers and will continue until our LORD Jesus returns. We hold to the reformers' position:

In essentials unity,
in non-essentials liberty;
in all things charity.

We believe that love is the greatest gift of them all and we are commanded to pursue it first. It's time for the body of Christ (particularly the Clergy) to stop disputing on non-essentials which keep unbelievers out of the kingdom of God. We believe these are the essentials of orthodox Biblical beliefs.

Because of the diversity of our members and various traditions, we allow differing opinions and understanding of Christian beliefs such as the amount of time in creation, various interpretations of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, etc. We also believe this freedom applies to this ministry.

Fundamental Christian Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that public revelation has ended and thus, the inspired texts are gathered into a complete and authoritative collection of books. We do not acknowledge Pseudepigrapha, Gnostic Gospels, The New World Translation of the Bible, or the Book of Mormon as being "inspired Scripture" (2 Timothy 3:16).

We believe that God is One, but reveals Himself in Scripture as having a triune nature in which God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit comprise the one God. (1 Corinthians 8:6; Romans 1:7; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1; Acts 5:3; Hebrews 9:14; John 4:24).

שמע ישראל יהוה אלהינו יהוה אחד׃

Sh'ma Yisra'el Adonai Eloheynu Adonai Echad:
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is One!

We believe that God is the creator of all things, is all-powerful, all-knowing, and in control to do as He wills (Jeremiah 32:17; Ephesians 3:20; Psalm 139:1-4; 1 Samuel 2:6-9; Psalm 24:1).

Jesus Christ
We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, that He is the second Person of the Trinity, and that all Scriptures center around Him.

We believe He was literally conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin named Mary (Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:26-33), lived a sinless life (1 Peter 2:22; 1 John 3:5), provided vicarious atonement on the cross, rose bodily from death on the third day, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return one day in power and glory (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).

Jesus is 100% God and 100% human. He is the God-man. He is not a created being and is eternal.

Holy Spirit
We believe in the Deity of the Holy Spirit, that He is the third Person of the Trinity (Acts 5:3-4), that He is an actual Person and not a force (John 14:16, 15:26) and that He enables the believer to live a godly life (John 14:26). We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are for today and should be exercised with decency and in order. God is not the author of confusion but of peace (1 Corinthians 4:32-33, 40).

We believe that all of humanity has fallen short of God's glory and is in need of salvation (John 14:6; Romans 3:23; 5:8; 6:23; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10).

We believe that salvation is in none other than through the name, Person, work, and grace of Jesus Christ (John 3:16; 14:6; Romans 5:8; 1 Corinthians 6:11).

We believe in the water baptism of believers in Christ as a profession of faith, but not as a requirement for salvation (Acts 2:38-41; 22:16).

We believe in the observance of Communion (the bread and the cup) as a means to remember our Lord (1 Corinthians 11:24).

Spiritual Unity
We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, that all are united to the risen and ascended Son of God, and are members of the Church, which is the Body and Bride of Christ and which began at Pentecost.

Its members are constituted as such, regardless of membership or non-membership in the organized churches of the Earth. We are NOT inclusivity (meaning those people outside the faith will be saved).

All clergy men and women who become members of AOCI should exercise grace, love, and unity with all members of AOCI as well as to the Body of Christ at large.

We believe marriage must be between one man and one woman.

We do NOT believe in the ordination of the sexually immoral (fornicators, adulterers, homosexuals) or any other person who knowingly and intentionally continues to practice sin.

Positional Statement of Faith
Regarding Our Jewish Clergy

  • Recognizing that the Jewish people are God's CHOSEN people, we renounce all anti-Semitic actions and words, regardless of the source.
  • We believe that Christians should bless the Jewish people because, according to the book of Genesis, God will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel.
  • We recant and renounce the works, words, and anti-Semitic teachings of Martin Luther concerning the Jewish people.
  • We pray for the healing, blessing, peace, prosperity, and divine protection of the Jewish Nation. We pray for the peace of Jerusalem as commanded in holy writ.
  • With deep sorrow and regret, the AOCI openly and honestly asks the Jewish people for forgiveness for the harm that Martin Luther’s teachings have caused and any contribution to their harm
  • The Gospel is to the Jew first and then the Gentile. Gentiles (believers in Christ other than Jewish believers) have been grafted into the vine. Christians must realize that they do NOT HOLD UP the ROOT (Jews), but the ROOT SUPPORTS or HOLDS UP Christians (Romans 11:18). The oracles of God were committed to the Jew first (Romans 3:1-2).
  • The AOCI DOES NOT SUPPORT OR ENDORSE the dangerous doctrines of "Replacement Theology" as taught in many Churches around the world. The New Testament teaches that there is neither Jew nor Gentile, but the Lord's desire is that there be ONE new man. According to Ephesians 2:14-15 Yeshua HaMashiach has broken down the walls of separation.

Again, the AOCI blesses Israel and the Jewish people. We also offer prayers for the Middle East and for the salvation and peace of the Arab world. The goal of this Association is to be a platform where all Jewish and Christian Clergy can find "common ground" in which to respect one another, fellowship with like-minded servant leaders, pray for each other, teach and learn from one another, and worship the living God.

It is not the intent of the AOCI to convert any Jewish Clergy man or woman but to "unite under the banner of Adonai". This being said, the AOCI will maintain and claim the name of Yeshua HaMashiach as the Messiah of the world, and it is expected that our Jewish brothers and sisters offer the same mutual respect regarding this theological distinction between Jews and Christians.

May Adonai bring us all into the unity of the faith according to His Word.

The AOCI Executive Board, Advisors, and Administrators

Values of Our Ministry
The following values represent the essence and personality of the Association of Clergy International (AOCI). They are the standards by which our unity is defended and maintained.

  • We value God's calling of both men and women to ordained ministry (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:17; Galatians 3:28).
  • We value the advancement of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for the establishment of salvation, forgiveness, and the perpetuation of Christianity (Matthew 28:18-20).
  • We value the pursuit of unity among brothers and sisters in the Christian and Jewish faiths (Ephesians 4:13).
  • We value the independence of ministers so that they may follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in the direction and government of their ministries (Acts 8:29; 10:19; 11:12; 13:2-4; 16:6-7; 20:22, 21:4).
  • We value leadership that duplicates our Lord's servant heart (Matthew 20:27; John 13:14).
  • We value fellowship among ministers, lay servants, rabbis, encouragement, edification, prayer, and support (Romans 14:19; 1 Thessalonians 5:11; Ephesians 2:21-22; Philippians 4:8).

Gloire a Dieu !!!

What a beautiful ground do we have to stand on and affirm our faith according to the Holy Bible. Yes I bless the Israel the root of blessings from my heart. I pray God spread this blessing all around the world.

No doubt, Association of Clergy International is Spirit-filled, God appointed and His Anointed Association for the end time. God bless A. O. C. I. beyond limits.

Comment by Dr. David Lion. on February 16, 2012 at 9:45pm

Someone once said "You get out of life what you put into it" and I believe the same applies to the opportunity which lies before you with the A.O.C.I. (Association Of Clergy International).

The AOCI is a Worldwide Ministerial Association of divine networking which extends beyond a strictly internet-based social network. It is this a place to connect ministry leaders, make friends, network with others, study, and paint ones cultural or geographical perspectives into the Big Picture of what Christ is doing in the earth in these final hours.

I would like to exhort you to consider joining "A.O.C.I." where "The World Awaits You" and "We Welcome You".

Comment by Janice Thornton on January 26, 2012 at 10:33pm

Giving honor to all maked it possible to have a wonderful website. To feel God's power and his present. To be able to encourage all that comes here.
