Why celebrate all these Jewish holidays? Haven’t those been done away with?

Why celebrate all these Jewish holidays? Haven’t those been done away with?

There are seven Feasts or Holy Days commanded in the Bible – four in the Spring, and three in the Fall.  It’s true, Jews had been observing these Feasts for 1,400 years before Yeshua’s birth.  But what if God set those dates as…

Ascention Day Today: Up and Away: Why It Is Good that Christ Departed

Up and Away: Why It Is Good that Christ Departed

When Jesus was on Earth, he was limited by space and time, like any other human. If people wanted to access him—to ask him a question, to seek his healing, to hear him preach—they had to travel to wherever he was.

But we don't have to. The Ascension has given us what we want—instant access. Although Jesus is no longer physically present on Earth, his statement "I am with…

How Many NT Commandments?

Years ago I found this list in the appendix of the Dake's Bible.

In the Millennium: The law (H8451) will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

The Prophet regarding the Millennium, in Isaiah 2:2  declares:

Many peoples will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths." The law/Torah (H8451) will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

The prophet Micah in 4:2 repeats this same…

"The law (H8451) of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul..." (Ps 19:7).

"The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul..." (Ps 19:7).
Do Christians read this in agreement with David, then condemn the law when they read the traditional interpretations found in some of Paul's letters?

The "Everlasting Covenant"

Ps. 105:
8 He remembers his covenant forever, the word he commanded, for a thousand generations,
9 the covenant he made with Abraham, the oath he swore to…

National Armed Services? Should Christians Join?

When we look at the plain teachings of Jesus, and the documents of the early church, we do not find believers joining the Roman or other military services.

Today, even in the USA the armed services offer a good, regular income as well as the means to get a college education. Joining the military is the only way for some of our young people begin earning money and be able to go to college.…
