You're exactly right, sister Margaret when you say "another Gospel and another Jesus are being presented and another spirit is in operation!" But as you say, God's righteousness and justice MUST be rightly met, and not in the ways WE want, but according to HIS divine plan to redeem us. There is no other way!!

Keep preaching it, sister! You never know how God will water and cultivate the seeds you are planting. And when you stand before His throne, He'll be able to say, "Well done, good and faithful servant!"

Thank you Rev. Linda for sharing your experience regarding hell and the great mercy of God that lead you into the light of His salvation.

Oh, that people will realize that every soul has an appointment with God and after that the judgment as stated in Scripture.  I do very often share about hell even in personal witnessing so that they could make the right decision to come to Jesus the only Savior or they will be cast into hell.  People have heard so much of the love of God but they do not realize that He is also JUST, AND RIGHTEOUS AND HOLY and therefore no sin (small or big) will be allowed into heaven, particularly after the precious sacrifice of His Son on Calvary.  When they would despise the  offer of eternal life, then I too believe they should go to the place of punishment in hell,

Often I think many are on their way to hell because another Gospel and another Jesus are being presented and another spirit is in operation!  Let us keep telling the true Gospel for it is the power of God unto salvation and let us pray and cast out the other spirit to the pit in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Yes, Hell is very real! You know, there's no shortage of people who've had "near-death" experiences with the bright light and God accepting them regardless of their beliefs or activities. But it's difficult to find anyone who's been to Hell and back.

But I have . . . . or at least, I believe I have.

It was 1969 when my appendix ruptured and the doctor says I died on the table during surgery. What I remember is this:

The first thing I was aware of was the putrid, nauseating smell of burning flesh and hair, excrement, urine, and vomit. It was so strong that I was gagging and gasping for air, but there was no air, only that eye- and nose-stinging stench. The next thing I noticed was the uttermost blackness. I've never known blackness like this! It was a darkness you could FEEL! It was heavy, pushing me down and back against a slimy wall. I kept squinting my eyes trying to see, but it was impossible.

The third thing I noticed was the screaming. Ohhh! The screaming! Millions of voices crying out in agony, begging for some relief.

I started crying. I thought, "This can't be happening! I just need a little more time and I'll change."

Suddenly, I felt a hand on my shoulder and I turned to look into two hideous eyes of blazing fire. From what I could see of his face, for a moment I was thankful that the darkness was concealing most of it. His face was like shark skin draped over a skull, and his smile revealed shark-like teeth and a serpent's tongue.

I tried to pull away from him, but he tightened his grip. I screamed, "Please! Let me go! I don't belong here!"

"Ahhh," he hissed, "but you DO belong here."

I tugged on his bony claw-like fingers and screamed even louder, "No! For God's sake, let me go!"

He laughed and sneered, "It's for God's sake that you're here!"

"Please! JESUS!!" I screamed. "Help me!!!"

Then, suddenly a faint light appeared above the pit and a hand grabbed my hand and pulled me up.

When I awoke in the recovery room, Dr. Aerondale said, "We almost lost you in there. But you fought your way back!" I told him and the Catholic sisters what had happened. He thought it was just a bad dream from the anesthesia; the sisters believed it was real. Now, 43 years later, I still believe it was real.

Was there a fiery pit? I actually found myself wishing there was so there'd be some light. But there was only darkness and the feeling of being roasted alive. My skin felt like it had suffered massive 3rd-degree burns and my heart and lungs felt like they were going to explode from the heat.

Yes, Hell is VERY real! And you can believe or not believe my experience, but everyone should believe Jesus' testimony. After all, He spoke about Hell more times than He did about Heaven. Did He lie? No.....

One final note/confession: I wish I could say I immediately changed and started following the Lord. But I didn't. It would be six more years before I accepted Christ and 21 more years before I'd commit to really following Him. Oh! How exceedingly gracious our Savior is!!! Thank you for sharing this teaching, Pastor Wright. As Dr. Stokes said below, we need to preach this more often. Only when we see our sin for how hideous it is and sense Hell's flames lapping at our feet can we fully appreciate our God's outrageous love in what He accomplished for us on Calvary!

Why is this one of the subjects I find so many Ministers are afraid to speak on? Are we not suppose to make people understand their are two choices? One for God, one for the devil. It seems a simple choice to me, so why don't Ministers make it simple?
