Good Day in the loverly name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! May his grace, mercy, and provision saturate each and every one of your lives and you continue to live and serve him!
This last Thursday, my fellow ministers of the Assemblies of God in the Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos islands saw fit to name me the Presbyter-elect for the island of Abaco in the Bahamas! This is an amazing, yet mind-boggling appointment. This position of ministry carries with it a lot of responsibility, and I am ready to take it on since it appears that this is the direction that God wants me to move. In July when my term begins, I will become the pastors pastor and church advisor for the churches in my district.
Last night I began thinking about the demands upon me spirityally. Since I will now be the overseer over the ministers and pastors in the District, it will be necessary that I am spiritually growing as I want them to be doing also. My life and character will now be on display more than even. Five churches and 26 ministers wil; be looking to me! Ny Heaveny Father must think I can do this. I did not capaign for this position, AND I went in on the nominating ballot, which is a humbling fact.
I covet the prayers of my fellow ministers at AOCI as I take on this God directed ministry that he had placed before me and I have humbly and willingly accepted. Pray for my physcial and spiritual strength. Pray that I will remain in a spirit of humility as I serve my brethren and God in this position!
