Reaching Those Who Have Not Yet Recieved God's Word In Their Mother Tongue

Doug and Tammy White Wycliffe Associates Missionaries to Papua New Guinea.

Our Primary Mission is to accelerate Bible translation by providing necessary resources and administration for Bible translation and Translators involved in field translation.

We will be supporting the start of a cluster of 125 languages affecting over 250,000 people in this generation and untold numbers of those who come after.

The ministry involves Administration, Project Management, Property Management, Training, Facilitating, and Oversight.

Our ministry is to come alongside the Bible Translation Association of Papua New Guinea (BTA) to train, facilitate, mentor, and provide oversight. We will help to identify, evaluate, and justify resources needed for ministry projects such as the launch of new translations, maintaining and building translation facilities and other needs as they arise. We will be training BTA’s Papua New Guinean staff on the necessary processes for project justification and approval for the release of resources. We will also train BTA staff in the areas of project and property management.

We will be involved in the Pacific S.A.L.T ministry (Scriptural Application and Leadership Training) as teachers and facilitators. This ministry works alongside bible translators, literacy workers, local pastors, and leaders from remote bush villages. National pastors and lay leaders, working in the field, learn to apply solid biblical principles to their lives and ministries in order to evangelize villages and plant churches in areas that have previously been unaccessible.

Another function of our ministry will be as property managers over four translation compounds located in the capitol city of Port Moresby, Ukarumpa, Alotau, and Madang. On each compound, we will periodically evaluate maintenance needs and insure the properties are maintained and provide safe habitable work and living conditions. We will also recommend new building expansion when deemed necessary to facilitate increasing workloads.

We will be acting as South Pacific Volunteer coordinators identifying opportunities for long and short-term volunteers and sending them to Wycliffe Headquarters. Once projects are approved information will be provided to our ministry partners such as supporting Churches and individuals as well as others in the Wycliffe network. It is our hope that this will facilitate active involvement of our ministry partners. When teams come, we will care for all their needs while in country (housing, medical, meals, transportation and proper documentation for entry and departure as well as resources to be successful in the ministry they are involved in).

We are seeking out opportunities to present this Vital Ministry to small groups, Churches, Conferences and individuals who have a heart to reach the lost through Bible Translation and come alongside us to help. There are a variety of ways to come along side us in this ministry. Are you willing to Get Involved moving Bible Translation forward? About AOCI

The AOCI exists as a fellowship of Spirit-filled Evangelical and Jewish Clergy for the purpose of: 1) Exalting God 2) Fellowshiping and 3) Divine Networking.

We do NOT advise, nor do we seek, to bring members out of their current denomination or ministerial association. We seek to have a platform to UNITE the Clergy of the world in ways that can benefit not only the Kingdom of God, but also the men and women who faithfully serve their communities, one another, and God.
